The Hills Craft Market
A shopping paradise
Set amongst the eucalypts at the Castle Hill Showground, the
Hills Craft Market is like the trees themselves: uniquely Australian. A mini shoppers’ paradise literally
unfolds on the 4th Sunday of every month (except January) from
9am to 3pm with an extraordinary sense of colour and vibrancy with
unsurpassed variety and choice.
Easy access to the market and complimentary parking ensures a fun-filled
day for the whole family. The Castle Hill Market has over 100 enthusiastic
stallholders, each showcasing an extensive range of craft…including,
country style wooden furniture; hand knitted children's clothes; a myriad
of toys; jewellery; pottery; pot plants and garden items; fresh homemade
cakes, biscuits and jams; assorted glassware often much of which is
exclusive to these markets and a pot-pourri of unique gift ideas. Stroll
the many alleys in the village style fair…speak to the stallholders and
learn of their skills…
During your visit take a little time out and be tempted by the many delicacies
from the takeaway food area, fondly known as Food Street, which provides a variety
of tasty International cuisines, freshly brewed coffees and cold drinks.
There are plenty of tables and chairs, which enable all visitors to dine in
comfort.
So, if you are looking for a special gift idea and have an eye for quality
handmade Australian products or just want to spend a fun day out with the
family, be sure to include a visit to the Hills Craft Markets, it is
a ‘must see’ event and is one of the most successful markets in the area.
Remember it is held on the 4th Sunday of every Month and for the
month of December the market will ‘light up’ for its annual Friday night
